NATURE CHORALE: Homegrown Classical Music Sets Eyes On Global Stage

MUSIC they say, is food of the soul, and so forms major part of entertainment in different parts of the world, just as the industry is growing in leaps and bounds.

PRIME BUSINESS AFRICA recently took a trip to the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja to witness the performances of a homegrown classical choral group that goes by the name NATURE CHORALE. Watch the performance > here

The performance was during the birthday party of the wife of a former member of Nigeria’s House of Representatives, Nze Chidi Duru at Maitama district, where the group thrilled the guests with their awesome choral presentation.

The group has been making waves in different parts of Nigeria with their potpourri of Western classical songs, opera, solo and also traditional and contemporary songs.

Nature Chorale group often make their musical presentations in both Western and local fashion.

The group uses their concerts to thrill and entertain their audience of varied demographic backgrounds who are ever held spell-bound until every bit of the group’s presentation is concluded.

More intriguing is that they explore the beauty of nature, emotions, religious and cultural being of humanity with their songs, while delivering them in English, Igbo and even foreign languages such as Spanish and Italian languages in a very fascinating manner.

The group has scrolls of performances in different events at different times across the country. One of their legacy performances as revealed by the group’s Musical Director, Engr. Onuorah John Emeka, is the composition of school anthem for Federal Polytechnic Oko in Anambra state.

Onuorah, an electronic Engr by profession, has great passion for music and it is like a vocation to him.

The group equally has a training centre called ‘Nature Academy’ meant for grooming upcoming choral artists in Nigeria, but is still at developing stage.

The group which made its debut some time in 2016, is a great amazement to many who wonder that a group of young men and woman with such rare classic musical talent exist in a remote rural setting in Anambra state called Nkpologwu.



Members of the group have the vision to make great impact in Nigerian Music Industry and rest of the world.
Given the sterling performances of the group, a company, CallPhone Limited, recently indicated interest in promoting the group to ensure that the members utilize their skills optimally to reach the limit of their potentials and become a world class choral group in the entertainment industry.

Mr. Duru noted that the group makes awesome performances in every outing, adding that he sees great potentials in them which when well honed and promoted, will enable them make more robust impact in the society.
