Mahama to Deliver Keynote Address at World Health Assembly in Geneva

President John Dramani Mahama has announced that he will deliver the keynote address at the ongoing World Health Assembly in Geneva, Switzerland, following an invitation from Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, Prime Business Africa reports.

Mahama disclosed this on Monday morning in a statement shared via his official communication channels, noting that he was received on arrival at Geneva Airport by Dr Tedros and Mrs Nane Annan.

According to the Ghanaian leader, Mrs Annan also conducted him on a tour of the Kofi Annan Lounge, a facility dedicated to the memory of the late Ghanaian diplomat and former United Nations Secretary-General, Kofi Annan.

The World Health Assembly, convened annually by the World Health Organization, brings together global leaders, health experts and policymakers to deliberate on major international public health issues and priorities.

Mahama’s participation at the high-level gathering comes amid increasing discussions on global health cooperation, healthcare financing and pandemic preparedness across developing and advanced economies.
