Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde has just cast his vote at Abayomi area, Iwo Road, in Unit 001, Ward 11 in Ibadan North East Local Government Area in Ibadan.
The governor arrived at the polling unit around 10:30 am.
Makinde is seeking reelection on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for another term of four years.
The governor who could not speak to journalists due to the mammoth crowd in the area, wrote on his Twitter handle encouraging people to go out and cast their votes.
“My wife, @iamominini and I have cast our votes in the Governorship and House of Assembly elections in Ibadan today. As promised, security is tight in Oyo State, so I encourage our people to go out and exercise their civic responsibility without fear,” he wrote.
