In a display of solidarity and sympathy, Abia State Governor, Dr. Alex Otti, OFR, and Chairman of United Nigeria Airlines, Prof. Obiora Okonkwo, have offered their condolences to Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo of Anambra State on the tragic loss of his father, Pa Simon Soludo.

Pa Simon Soludo’s passing on November 6, 2023, at the age of 92 has left a void in the hearts of the Soludo family. In this challenging time, Governor Otti extended his heartfelt condolences to his colleague, Governor Chukwuma Soludo.

In a personal message, Governor Otti expressed his deep sadness upon hearing the news of the nonagenarian’s death. He conveyed his sympathies to Governor Soludo and prayed for the peaceful repose of Pa Simon Soludo’s soul.

Governor Otti’s heartfelt words included, “My dear brother, Governor Chukwuma Soludo. It is with a heavy heart that I reach out to you during this profoundly sorrowful time. I received the news of the passing of your father, Pa Simon Soludo, with sadness and wish to commiserate with you.

In this moment of grief, please know that my thoughts are with you. At 92, he lived a fulfilled life, leaving a very strong legacy in you, your siblings, and other members of the family. My prayer is that God will accept his soul in repose.”

Prof. Obiora Okonkwo’s Message

Prof. Obiora Okonkwo, the Chairman of United Nigeria Airlines, has also joined in extending his condolences to Governor Charles Soludo and the entire Soludo family, hailing from Umueze village, Isuofia. The passing of their patriarch, Pa Simeon Nwankwo Soludo, known as Akudinanwa, marks an indescribable tragedy for the family.

In a statement released by the Head of Corporate Communications at United Nigeria Airlines, Mr. Achilleus-Chud Uchegbu, Prof. Okonkwo conveyed his deepest condolences and sympathies to Governor Soludo and his family during this difficult time.

He acknowledged the irreplaceable loss of a parent, emphasizing the immense role parents play in shaping our lives and providing us with guidance.

Reflecting on the remarkable life of Pa Simeon Nwankwo Soludo, who lived to the remarkable age of 92, Prof. Okonkwo prayed that the cherished memories and lasting legacies of the late patriarch would bring solace and comfort to the grieving family.

Prof. Okonkwo encouraged the Soludo family to hold onto these precious memories and legacies as a testament to the deep love and connection they shared with their departed loved one.
