Nigerian filmmaker Funke Akindele, widely known for her remarkable contributions to the entertainment industry, is all set to captivate audiences once again with her latest cinematic masterpiece, ‘A Tribe Called Judah.’

This highly-anticipated production boasts a stellar ensemble cast that promises to deliver a cinematic experience like no other.

After recently gracing our screens with the release of ‘SHE’ on Prime Video, fans may have assumed that Akindele was taking a breather.

However, the multi-talented actress is determined to shatter those expectations, asserting that ‘A Tribe Called Judah’ is the cinematic gem to look forward to this year.

The film is a collaborative effort, co-directed by the talented Adeoluwa Owu, affectionately known as Captain Degzy, and Barny Emordu, who is responsible for the film’s stunning cinematography. The production journey came to a close on August 11, 2023, following an intense 35-day shooting schedule.

While the movie’s plot remains shrouded in secrecy, dedicated fans have been avidly dissecting behind-the-scenes clips released on social media, piecing together hints of what’s to come. Their eagerness to unravel the storyline is palpable.

In a teaser posted on Instagram, Funke Akindele revealed the cast members and their respective characters, igniting even more excitement within the fan base. The lineup includes Akindele herself as Jedidah Judah, Jide Kene Achufusi as Emeka Judah, Timini Egbuson as Pere Judah, Uzee Usman as Adamu Judah, Tobi Makinde as Shina Judah, Olumide Oworu as Ejiro Judah, and Ebelle Okaro portraying the role of grandma.

Other talented actors such as Uzor Arukwe, Nse Ikpe Etim, Genoveva Umeh, Faithia Williams, Nosa Rex, Greg Ojefua, Ibrahim Yekini, Boma Akpore, Paschaline Ijeoma Alex, Etinosa Idemudia, Juliana Olayode, and Yvonne Jegede have also joined the cast, each contributing their unique charisma to this cinematic endeavor.

With an air of anticipation, the production page described ‘A Tribe Called Judah’ as the ultimate holiday drama, teasing viewers with the tagline, “A December to Remember.”
