Equity traders reduced their activities on the Nigerian Exchange (NGX) on Monday, while the market capitalisation of the bourse decreased by N206.82 billion.
The market capitalisation dropped to N156.41 trillion, falling below the N156.62 trillion reported on Friday.

The market closed with traders exchanging 1.30 billion shares in 44,892 deals, valued at N22.13 billion, declining from the 1.41 billion shares traded in 39,134 deals, valued at N45.31 billion, on Friday.
Top Five Gainers
- Legend Internet’s share price increased by N0.40 kobo, from N4 to N4.40 kobo per share.
- TransExpress share value grew by N0.28 kobo, from N2.84 kobo to N3.12 kobo per share.
- Ava Capital’s share appreciated by N0.25 kobo to end trading at N7.90 kobo, having opened with N7.20 kobo.
- Thomas Wyatt’s share ended trading at N0.25 kobo per share, from N2.75 kobo per share – indicating an increase of N0.25 kobo.
- Dangote Sugar share value was up by N5.55 kobo, after closing at N70.10 kobo, from N64.55 kobo per share.

- RT Briscoe’s share price depreciated by N1.15 kobo, dwindling from N11.60 kobo to N10.45 kobo per share.
- Fortis Global Insurance recorded a N0.26 kobo decline in its share price to end trading at N2.37 kobo, after opening with N2.63 kobo.
- McNichols reported a N0.50 kobo decline in its share price to end trading at N4.70 kobo, after opening with N5.20 kobo per share.
- UPL lost N0.50 kobo in its share price, to sell at N4.85 kobo, down from N5.35 kobo per share.
- NEM reported a decline of N2.95 kobo, from the previous share price of N33.40 kobo, to end trading at N30.45 kobo per share.

- Lasaco reported that 730.68 million shares valued at N1.27 billion were traded on its floor.
- Consolidated Hallmark recorded 154.24 million shares valued at N1.04 billion.
- Cornerstone saw investors trade 105.76 million of its shares valued at N533.61 million.
- Chams recorded 25.25 million shares exchanged on its floor, worth N108.20 million.
- First HoldCo reported that traders exchanged 24.40 million shares valued at N3.34 billion.
