Mohbad’s Exhumed Body Reveals Fresh Blood: Medical Doctor Shares Insights

The alleged discovery of fresh blood in the exhumed body of Nigerian singer Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad, has ignited a wave of speculation and curiosity across social media platforms.

As rumours swirled and videos circulated, renowned medical doctor Dr. Chinonso Egemba, widely recognized as Aproko Doctor, stepped forward to provide some scientific insights into this intriguing discovery.

On Thursday, Mohbad’s remains were exhumed by the police as part of an ongoing investigation to determine the cause of his untimely demise. Almost immediately after the exhumation, the virtual world was flooded with videos depicting what appeared to be fresh blood within the confines of the singer’s coffin.

Dr. Aproko Doctor, known for his ability to simplify complex medical concepts for the layman, offered an explanation that sheds light on why such a phenomenon might occur.

He began by elucidating that blood’s characteristic red hue is attributed to a molecule called haemoglobin, which serves as a carrier for oxygen in the body.

“When blood is exposed to air,” he explained, “the cells containing haemoglobin cease to function, and the haemoglobin is exposed to the air, undergoing a transformation into a darker colour, known as methemoglobin.”

Aproko Doctor clarified that when people pass away, the blood within their bodies remains stagnant due to the cessation of circulation. However, some blood invariably remains, even after embalming, a process where a preservation fluid is used to replace the body’s natural fluids.

He posed the question, “Was Mohbad embalmed?” Even if he was, it is virtually impossible to extract every trace of blood from the body.

Addressing the enigma surrounding the freshness of the blood, Aproko Doctor suggested that the limited air supply in the closed underground compartment of a grave might inhibit the haemoglobin’s transition to a darker colour. This atmospheric condition could potentially explain why the blood still appeared red.

However, Aproko Doctor emphasized that without direct access to Mohbad’s body and a thorough examination, all conjectures remain speculative. He acknowledged that the singer’s neck had been positioned unnaturally to fit the coffin, raising the possibility that this manoeuvre could have caused vessel damage, leading to the leakage of some residual blood.
