Breaking: UNICAL Expels Cross River Speaker, 565 Other Students

The Management of the University of Calabar says it has withdrawn a total of 566 students, including the Speaker of the Cross River State House of Assembly, Mr Elvert Ayambem Ekom, over poor Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA).

Ayambem is the Member, representing Ikom 2 State Constituency, Cross Rivers State.

According to a source who didn’t want to be mentioned, the list was published by the university on Tuesday.

The withdrawal exercise which affected Ayambem and other students cut across 100 to 400 levels, affecting 15 faculties and departments.
