EXCLUSIVE: N516m Unpaid Allowances Worry APC, 3 Months After Primary Elections

Ahead of the commencement of election campaign, the All Progressives Congress presidential and vice presidential candidates, Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Kashim Shettima respectively, will on Wednesday, September 7, meet with National Working Committee (NWC) members of the party.

The visit which coincides with the APC NWC meeting scheduled for the same day at NWC Hall at 11:30 am, is according to a party source, expected to be an opportunity to interact with them to fine-tune strategies for electoral campaigns for the 2023 general elections.

Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Prof. Mahmood Yakubu had during experts’ meeting on conducting elections in volatile security environments, recently, said campaigns in public by political parties would officially commence 28th September, 2022 as provided by Sec. 94(1) of the Electoral Act 2022.

Recall that few weeks ago, the party had released a draft list of the APC presidential campaign council which designated President Muhammadu Buhari as chairman.
