Yoruba Actors Openly Support Tinubu For President

June 29, 2022

The Nollywood Yoruba Actors in Nigeria have published a campaign video where they expressed their choice of presidency and who they’d be supporting in the forthcoming elections.

They portrayed that Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu is the best suitable for the job this time around and also stated the popular quote “ it’s his turn.”

In this video, Prime Business Africa (PBA) identified the likes of Jide Kosoko, Adebayo Salami (popularly known as Oga Bello), Taiwo Hassan (popularly known as Ogogo), Yinka Quadri, Toyin Adegbola, alongside other  notable Yoruba actors in the movie industry.

Nigerians have however expressed their displeasure with  the campaign video pushing what looks like an ethnic agenda. Some alleged that the actors had been bought over or brainwashed, while others insisted that the Yoruba actors are  entitled to support who they wish, as much as everyone is.
