May 6, 2022

Some  Nigerians believe that the current CBN Governor Emefiele would make  a good leader based on  his sound financial background.

The CBN chief is the latest Central Bank of Nigeria Governor to throw his hat in the political ring.

Current Anambra state Governor Professor Chukwuma Soludo was CBN Governor during the administration of President  Olusegun Obasanjo.

Professor Kingsley Moghalu was a onetime Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria and was credited with several innovative ideas that transformed the economy.

Now, Moghalu is the Presidential candidate for the African Democratic Congress (ADC).

Alhaji Lamido Sanusi the CBN Governor when Moghalu was deputy became the Emir of Kano.

Sanusi Lamido’s could be a different terrain, but still worth a mention.

The growing fondness of elective positions among financial experts is infectious and may have come to stay.
