Mixed Reactions Trail Chris Rock Slap Of Will Smith At Oscar Award Show

Fans on social media have reacted differently to the unfortunate incident that took place between Hollywood film actor, Will Smith and American Comedian, Chris Rock at the just concluded Oscar Award show in the United States.

Host of the night, Chris Rock had made a sensitive joke about Jada Smith which obviously did not go down well with her husband, Will Smith who decided that he needed to set Chris right on.

He immediately stood up from his sit in the audience, walked right to the stage and smacked Chris Rock across his face.

He turned back to walk to his sit and warned Chris to “keep my wife’s name out of your fucking mouth.”

Mr. Smith has, however, tendered an apology to Chris for hitting him as he knew that it wasn’t what was best for him to do at that point.

Social media fans have viewed the incident differently with some supporting what Smith did, saying he was in fact right for defending his wife and that the joke made by Chris was so sensitive and totally uncalled for. Others however, said that it was just a joke and should have been taken lightly as he meant no harm.
