On Monday, the Nigerian Exchange (NGX) recorded a N1.01 trillion gain as the stock market capitalisation increased to N160.98 trillion, from the N159.96 trillion recorded on Friday.
The market capitalisation soared following a 1,584.27 basis points gain recorded by the all-share index (ASI), which appreciated from 249,540.75 ASI to 251,125.02 ASI.

Top Five Gainers
- Airtel Africa share price increased by N332.30 kobo, from N3323.40 kobo to N3655.70 kobo per share.
- International Energy Insurance’s share value grew by N0.33 kobo, from N3.41 kobo to N3.74 kobo per share.
- Sovereign Insurance’s share appreciated by N0.22 kobo, to end trading at N2.50 kobo, having opened with N2.28 kobo.
- Caverton’s share ended trading at N7.40 kobo per share, from N6.75 kobo per share – indicating an increase of N0.65 kobo.
- VFD Group’s share value was up by N0.95 kobo, after closing at N10.90 kobo, from N9.95 kobo per share.

- McNichols’share price depreciated by N0.80 kobo, dwindling from N8 to N7.20 kobo per share.
- TIP recorded a N3.35 kobo decline in its share price to end trading at N30.45 kobo, after opening with N33.80 kobo per share.
- Learn Africa recorded a N1.25 kobo decline in its share price to end trading at N11.65 kobo, after opening with N12.90 kobo per share.
- Zichis lost N2.67 kobo in its share price, to sell at N30.98 kobo, down from N33.65 kobo per share.
- May & Baker reported a decline of N3.30 kobo, from the previous share price of N50, to end trading at N46.70 kobo per share.
