The ex-president, who died on Sunday at a hospital in London, will be buried today in his hometown in Duara, Katsina State.

There was also a brief military ceremony at the airport in honour of the late Nigerian leader, who rose to the rank of Major General in the Nigerian Army.

Videos shared on social media showed dignitaries arriving at the residence of the former President. Some men have been seen digging Buhari’s grave ahead of his final internment.
