This was due to the all-share index (ASI) expanding from 124,446.8 ASI to 126,149.59 ASI, representing an increase of 234.24 basis points.

Top five gainers
- Guinness’ share price increased by N8.80 kobo, to rise from N88 to N96.80 kobo per share.
- Cadbury’s share value grew by N5.50 kobo, from N55 to N60.50 kobo per share.
- Consolidated Hallmark ended trading at N3.63 kobo per share, from N3.30 kobo per share – indicating an increase of N0.33 kobo.
- NEM Insurance gained N2 to end trading at N22, having opened with N20.
- Redstar Express share value was up by N1.22 kobo, after closing at N13.44 kobo from N12.22 kobo per share.
Top five losers
- Learn Africa’s share price depreciated by N0.57 kobo, dwindling from N6.58 kobo to N6.01 per share.
- Tantalizer recorded a N0.20 kobo decline in its share price to end trading at N3 after opening with N3.20 kobo per share.
- Prestige lost 6.02 percent in its share price after trading hours, to sell at N1.25 kobo from N1.33 kobo per share.
- Regal Insurance reported a decline of 5.62 percent from the previous day’s share price of N0.89 kobo to end trading at N0.84 kobo per share.
- Oando recorded a N2.50 kobo decline in its share price to end trading at N51.70 kobo after opening with N54.20 kobo per share.

- Ellah Lakes recorded 144.91 million shares valued at N1.81 billion.

- UBA recorded 73.02 million shares exchanged on its floor, worth N3.14 billion.
- AIICO reported 60.67 million shares valued at N135.70 million exchanged in investors’ hands.
