AEDC Plans Two-day Partial Shutdown Of Power Supply Within Some Abuja Environs

ABUJA Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC) has announced partial interruption of power supply in some areas of Abuja between 20th and 21st November 2021 due to scheduled maintenance by the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN).

According to a statement issued by the AEDC, TCN has scheduled maintenance for its 150MVA 330/132 transformers 1 & 2 at Katampe district between 9 am and 4 pm in those two days.

The affected areas include, Asokoro, Maitama, Mpape, Apo, Guzape, Bwari, Kubwa, Deidei Garimpa, LifeCamp, Jabi, Utako, Katampe, Karu, Nyanya, Jikwoyi, Mararaba, Masaka, Keffi, Lugbe, Airport Road, Gudu, Garki, Sauka, Akwanga, Lafia, Nasarawa, Central Area and Gwagwalape.

AEDC said there will be an interruption of power supply to the affected customers for two days during the period of the day stated.

The disco, therefore, appealed to customers saying, “We, therefore, seek the support of our customers in the affected areas as this is intended to improve on service delivery as we move deeper and deeper into the festive periods. Thank you for your patience and understanding,”
