The catalyst for this storm was a TikTok video posted by user MYEi$HiA on X (formerly Twitter), making sensational claims regarding R&B singer Cassie Ventura and implicating Jakes in a web of scandalous events.

MYEi$HiA asserted that Ventura’s evidence included tapes of Diddy’s parties and a burner phone allegedly belonging to Kim Porter, Diddy’s ex-girlfriend who passed away in 2018 at the age of 47.

The TikTok video then took an even more dramatic turn by suggesting that an email had surfaced, incriminating TD Jakes, a close friend of Diddy’s and the pastor who officiated Kim Porter’s burial.
MYEi$HiA played a clip of an unidentified man claiming that Cassie had turned over tapes revealing alleged depraved parties involving prominent figures, including Jakes, who was accused of inappropriate behaviour with multiple men at these gatherings.
It is crucial to emphasize that these claims remain unsubstantiated and lack evidence to support their validity. Nevertheless, the explosive nature of the allegations triggered a wildfire of reactions on various social media platforms, leading to TD Jakes trending across the internet.
TD Jakes, the influential founder of The Potter’s House, a non-denominational multicultural church in Dallas, holds a significant position as a Christian preacher in the United States. Time Magazine named him “America’s Best Preacher,” and The New York Times labelled him “One of the Nation’s Most Influential & Mesmerizing Preachers.”
Jakes, often seen in the company of celebrities, including Diddy, has recently faced scrutiny as his friendship with the hip-hop mogul has come under the spotlight.
Diddy, currently facing multiple lawsuits alleging s3xual misconduct, has previously acknowledged Jakes for helping him through challenging times. In 2021, they announced a collaboration to bring Jakes’ exclusive sermon series to REVOLT TV.
While the recent TikTok video stirred disbelief online, it is not the first time TD Jakes has been entangled in controversy. In 2009, his son, Jermaine Jakes, faced legal issues after an alleged incident at Kiest Park in Dallas.
Last year, the eldest daughter of Bishop Jakes, Cora Jakes-Coleman, accused her estranged husband of s3xually abusing their adopted daughter.
These fresh allegations against Diddy and Jakes add to the ongoing legal battles the rapper is facing, with four different women filing lawsuits alleging assault, including a claim of gang rape when one of the accusers was 17 years old.
Diddy, vehemently denying the allegations, recently returned to social media to pay tribute to his late ex-girlfriend Kim Porter on December 15.
