Uzo Aduba celebrates one-year anniversary with Robert Sweeting

AMERICAN-NIGERIAN and Emmy-winning actress Uzoamaka Aduba is married!  The forty years old actress shared this news on her Instagram with a selfie of herself, in a wedding dress and veil, and her husband, cinematography Robert Sweeting in a tuxedo smiling.

With a quote from the movie When Harry Met Sally “when you realize you want to spend the rest of your life with somebody, you want the rest of your life as soon as possible”.  “For some of us, it can feel like we spend our whole lives waiting for our special someone. My love, my heart – I’m so happy my life started last year with you, you are the best thing that ever happened to me”, she went on to say.

Since her breakout on Orange Is the New Black Aduba has kept her romantic life private. Therefore, a one-year wedding anniversary is definitely big news. And news her husband was delighted to share as he took to Instagram as well to share a number of pictures of himself and his wife with the caption “one year ago, I married this gorgeous, talented and incredible woman. This past year has made me appreciate the fragile nature of life and the importance of living it. At a time where the world is upside down, we learned to find joy and peace in each other. You are the greatest person I’ve known, and I’m proud to be your husband.”

Popular for her role as Suzanna “Crazy eyes” Warren, in Netflix original series Orange Is the New Black (2013 – 2019)which won her, her first Emmy Award in 2015 for Outstanding Supporting Actress, the actress is up again as a nominee for Lead Actress in drama series In Treatment for this year’s Emmy.
