Five days to the 2023 general election, the African Democratic Congress (ADC) has endorsed the Labour Party presidential candidate, Mr Peter Obi, and his running mate, Dr Yusuf Datti  Baba-Ahmed for the February 25 presidential poll.

The endorsement came as several groups tagged the Star Alliance Partners  formed a grand Coalition for Obi/Datti presidency

The endorsement was held at the River Plate Gardens in Abuja, on Monday, 20th February 2023.

The coalition include: Nigerian Mothers for Good Governance, Fulani United, Nigerian Artisans, League of Imam, Nigerian Traders, Yoruba United, Mega Political Coalition for good governance, Kanuris United, Amalgamated Coalitions, CEG Groups, Nigeria Legions United, among others.

The ADC’s endorsement is expected to give a significant boost to the Obi/Datti presidential campaign, as the party boasts of having made significant inroads in some parts of the country

The event was attended by dignitaries such as the ADC National Chairman, Chief Raphael Nwosu, BoT Chairman, Dr Mani Ibrahim Ahmed, and Prof Pat Utomi, Chairman of the Big Tent Coalition for Obi-Datti presidential bid.
