2023: Obi Set To Speak At Chatham House On Vision For Nigeria

Presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Mr Peter Obi, is set to speak at Chatham House in London on Monday (today), January 16, 2023, on the policy vision he and his running mate, Dr Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed, have for Nigeria if elected next month.

Chatham House is a famous independent policy institute trusted for debate and dialogue, Obi will be speaking on his vision for policy change and the institutional reforms that the Labour Party, he and have for Nigeria.

Obi’s session at Chatham House is expected to take place at 1:00 p.m. London time.

Nigerian time will be 2 p.m.

In a tweet on Sunday afternoon about the event, Obi wrote: “I’ll be speaking at the Chatham House, London tomorrow (today) afternoon (Monday, 16th January), on the vision for policy change and the institutional reforms that Labour Party, Datti, and I have for Nigeria.

“I look forward to an interactive exchange during the Question and Answer session.”

Some of those policy and governance reforms include priorities for tackling deep-rooted insecurity across the country, corruption in different sectors and strategies for improving the ailing economy.

A publication on the Chatham House website announcing the event said: “This event is a member and Africa programme event and is part of a series of events and outputs examining Nigeria’s 2023 elections and political developments.”
