The market capitalisation of the Nigerian bourse decreased by N2.36 trillion on Tuesday to N146.54 trillion, from the N148.9 trillion reported on Friday.

According to the Nigerian Exchange (NGX), the all-share index (ASI) also contracted from 232,049.02 ASI to 228,366.32 index, reflecting a loss of 3,682.7 basis points.

Over 996.46 million shares were traded by investors in 61,813 deals, valued at N43.72 billion, up from the 388.68 million shares exchanged in 44,631 deals, worth N18.43 billion, on Friday.

Top Five Gainers

  • FGSUK2032S7’s share price increased by N81.26 kobo, from N113.93 kobo to N195.19 kobo per share.
  • Regal Insurance’s share value grew by 8.86 percent, from N0.79 kobo to N0.86 kobo per share.
  • UPDC’s share appreciated by N0.25 kobo, to end trading at N3.50 kobo, having opened with N3.25 kobo.
  • FGSUK2027S3’s share ended trading at N96 per share, from N91 per share – indicating an increase of N5.
  • CNIF’s share value was up by N6, after closing at N116, from N110 per share.

Top Five Losers

  • MTN Nigeria’s share price depreciated by N83, dwindling from N830 to N747 per share.
  • Learn Africa recorded a N1 decline in its share price to end trading at N9, after opening with N10.
  • Unilever recorded a N14 decline in its share price to end trading at N126, after opening with N140 per share.
  • Austin Laz lost N0.35 kobo in its share price, to sell at N3.17 kobo, down from N3.52 kobo per share.
  • Abbey Mortgage Bank reported a decline of N0.80 kobo, from the previous share price of N8.05, to end trading at N7.25 kobo per share.

  • Ikeja Hotel reported that 305.53 million shares valued at N13.21 billion were traded on its floor.
  • Access Holdings recorded 289.9 million shares valued at N6.62 billion.
  • Dangote Sugar saw investors trade 29.36 million of its shares valued at N1.89 billion.
  • Chams recorded 22.01 million shares exchanged on its floor, worth N87.94 million.
  • Zenith Bank reported that traders exchanged 21.20 million shares valued at N2.36 billion.
