Top Five Oladips Songs Of All Time

The Nigerian music industry is in mourning as the news of Oladips’ untimely demise at the age of 28 spreads. Born on March 24, 1995, in Ogun State, Oladips, whose real name is Oladipupo Olabode Oladimeji, began his rapping journey at the age of 17 in 2012.

His breakthrough came when he did a cover of Drake and Trey’s song, a move that garnered attention and marked the commencement of a new chapter in his life.

In 2015, Oladimeji rose to prominence by winning the ‘King is Here’ rapping contest organized by D’banj. This achievement opened doors for him in the Nigerian music industry, earning him the admiration of various music icons. Subsequently, he began performing at music events, steadily building a dedicated fanbase.

Securing a record deal with Edge Record (LRR), owned by Reminisce, in 2016, he continued to make his mark. Although he was on the verge of signing with Olamide’s YBNL, it didn’t materialize due to Olamide’s decision not to have both Oladips and Chinko Ekun on the same record label, citing similarities in their music styles.
