The Iyaloja-General of Nigeria and daughter of President Bola Tinubu, Mrs Folashade Tinubu-Ojo, has threatened to lead a protest over the outcome of the recently concluded All Progressives Congress (APC) primaries in Lagos State.
Tinubu-Ojo alleged that the exercise was manipulated in favour of the Justice Forum faction of the party, warning that unresolved grievances could deepen internal divisions within the Lagos APC ahead of the 2027 general elections.
She made the remarks during a meeting with market leaders and stakeholders at her office in Alausa, Ikeja, where she challenged the validity of results announced for Mushin Federal Constituency II, Agege Constituency II and Ojokoro constituencies.

The Lagos State chapter of the APC had earlier released the list of candidates who emerged from the House of Representatives and Lagos State House of Assembly primaries conducted ahead of the 2027 elections.
The list, signed by Lagos APC Chairman Cornelius Ojelabi, showed that 24 candidates secured House of Representatives tickets, while 40 candidates emerged for the Lagos State House of Assembly elections. Among those listed were Mojisola Meranda for Apapa I, Musibau Lawal for Apapa II, Barakat Bakare-Odunuga for Surulere I and Damilola Ayinde-Marshall for Surulere II.
However, Tinubu-Ojo insisted that some aspirants, including Seye Oladejo, Mutiu Olaide Oladeebo and Olotu Ojo, were the rightful winners of their respective contests and should not be denied their mandates.
“We are ready to protest because of Seye Oladejo of Mushin Federal Constituency 02, Mutiu Olaide Oladeebo of Agege 2 constituency, Olotu Ojo of Ojokoro constituency, because we know they won this election. Their mandate should not be given to somebody else,” she said.
She called on APC leaders at both the state and national levels to urgently investigate the disputed primaries before final ratification of the results, warning that failure to act could worsen tensions within the ruling party.
Tinubu-Ojo also criticised the growing rivalry between the Justice Forum and Mandate Group blocs within the Lagos APC, saying factional politics could weaken party unity ahead of future elections.
She further argued that market women and traders remained a major political force in Lagos and deserved greater inclusion and recognition in governance because of their contributions to the electoral success of the APC in the state.
