President Bola Tinubu has appointed Dr. Aba Ibrahim and Dr. Muda Yusuf as new members of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) Board, representing the organized private sector.

This decision comes as part of the administration’s aim to incorporate private sector perspectives in critical governmental functions.

Chief Ajuri Ngelale, the Special Adviser to the President, emphasized that the President wishes the new appointees success in ensuring the effective representation of private sector interests within the NCS.

He stressed the importance of aligning the private sector’s views to achieve the objectives of the Renewed Hope agenda, specifically targeting increased investments across various sectors of the economy.

The President anticipates that the appointments will facilitate the seamless implementation of ongoing reforms within the NCS, contributing to a more efficient and investor-friendly environment.
