One of the standout moments of the night was when Usher reflected on the journey leading up to the grand stage of the Super Bowl.

Having embarked on a ground-breaking Vegas residency in 2021, which has seen over 100 shows, Usher’s performance was not just a showcase of his talent but a testament to resilience and belief amidst challenging times.

In an interview with EW, Usher shared his thoughts on the significance of his Vegas residency and its culmination in the Super Bowl halftime show.

“I went to Las Vegas with only the belief that people would come because nobody was going anywhere,” he said. “You have to understand how much of an unwavering belief a person had to have to put together a show after a year of nobody going anywhere and everybody being afraid to be outside for fear of catching COVID or endangering themselves and their families.

So the fact that I did that was just truly a matter of belief, and that belief was all positive.” As Usher’s electrifying performance came to a close, it left an indelible mark on Super Bowl history.
