Shaibu, Aides Leave Government Event After Aides Were Denied Access

On Monday, the Deputy Governor of Edo State, Philip Shaibu, left a government event along with his aides after they were denied access into the event.

The event which was a colloquium to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the MidWest Referendum, was hosted by Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki at the Victor Uwaifo Creative Hub, Airport Road, in Benin City.

Around noon, Shaibu and his aides arrived at the venue but were met with opposition from the security operatives who denied his aides access to enter the venue along with the Deputy Governor.

Shaibu made effort to ensure that his aides enter the venue with him but security operatives resisted, giving reasons for the obstruction.

After failed efforts to reach an agreeable end with the security operatives, Shaibu ordered his aides to leave the venue along with him.
