Former boss of Equatorial Guinea anti-graft agency, National Agency for Financial Investigation (ANIF), Balthazar Engonga, has been discharged and acquitted over the sextape scandal that shook the globe.

In a landmark ruling by the Supreme Court in the West Coast country, the court opined that the 400 women who featured prominently in the porn videos were consenting adults, thus dismissing allegations of coercion.

The court further noted that Balthazar, popularly called Mr Bello did not transmit any sexually transmitted diseases to his partners, a critical point in his defense.

Primebusiness.africa however understands that the court was silent over another charge which attempts to hammer Engonga for getting down with one of his sex partners close to the national flag.

The government had viewed that particular act, an image tarnishing one and vowed then to deal with Engonga according to serve as a deterrent to other citizens who might be tempted to tarnish the country image or treat the country’s flag with disdain.

Meanwhile, with the ruling of the Supreme Court, Balthazar Engonga has announced that he is putting finishing touches to dragging all those responsible for leaking the videos to court.

He accused the perpetrators in what could be described as a twist of fate of violating his privacy, causing irreparable harm to his reputation, marriage, and social standing.

“This gross invasion of privacy has devastated my life, and I will seek justice against those who orchestrated this malicious act,” Balthazar stated.

The case has sparked nationwide debate, raising complex questions about privacy, consent, and the ethical implications of exposing private lives in the public sphere.

As Balthazar’s legal team prepares to take action against the leaks, the sensational story which relegated other trending stories worldwide for weeks, continues to dominate public discourse, with no sign of fading from the national spotlight.

Meanwhile, several husbands whose wives featured prominently in the 400 sex videos are giving Engonga a pat on the back for exposing the hidden and pretentious sides of their wives.

Some say it is hard to believe that their wives who wear very holy and innocent looks were actually porn stars.

Already a number divorce cases in court has reportedly soured after some of the husbands filed divorce cases claiming they have finally seen the light. Others we further gather are thanking their stars that in all of these no report of sexually transmitted disease have been reported.
