Sam Larry Denies Involvement In Mohbad's Death

Controversial socialite, Samson Erinfolami Balogun, popularly known as Sam Larry, has vehemently denied any involvement in the untimely demise of the talented Nigerian singer, Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad.

The denial comes as reactions have surged in response to an old video showing Mohbad allegedly being assaulted by individuals purportedly led by Sam Larry during a video shoot.

Moreover, a petition purportedly authored by the late singer had surfaced online, wherein Mohbad had expressed concerns about his safety and pleaded for police protection against perceived threats from Sam Larry and others.

In a recently circulated video on social media, Sam Larry, who had maintained silence amid the ongoing controversy surrounding Mohbad’s passing, opened up about his relationship with the deceased. In the video, he expressed deep affection for Mohbad, describing him as a beloved brother.

Speaking in Yoruba, Sam Larry stated, “I want to state unequivocally that I had absolutely no involvement in Mohbad’s tragic passing. He was not just an artist but my brother, and during his time with Marlian Records, he was well aware of my deep affection for him.

This love was not limited to him alone; even his wife can attest to it. It is vital to understand that having disagreements or conflicts with someone does not translate to a desire for their demise. I categorically deny any accusations suggesting that I played a role in Mohbad’s demise.”

He continued, “The videos currently circulating online are snippets from past events, dating back to last year. I urge everyone to be cautious when making judgments based on such clips. If you require further clarification, you can reach out to Zlatan, who can corroborate my statements.”

This development comes amidst an announcement by the Force Public Relations Officer, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, who assured the public of a diligent and thorough police investigation into the circumstances surrounding Mohbad’s tragic passing.
