Super Eagles head coach, Gernot Rohr has expressed confidence that striken Napoli striker could make an instant comeback from the facial and checkbone injuries that was expected to keep him out of action for three months.

In a sickening clash of heads in a Serie A match against Inter Milan, Osimhen suffered a cheekbone and a damage to his eye socket.

Earlier prognosis was not encouraging but in a latest development, Osimhen has returned to training for his club and Rohr is looking forward to the availability of the forward.

“There may be a little hope,” Rohr told AFP, as per Eurosport.

“He has resumed training. It’s going to be a race (against time).

“He has to do bodybuilding (even if) it was a facial injury,” Rohr stated.
