Over N90 billion Made By Nigerian Stock Investors, Amid Gains In FCMB, Stanbic IBTC

Investors pocket over N90 billion following 0.3% appreciation in market capitalisation, which rose from N26.90 trillion to N26.99 trillion.

The All-Share Index jumped to 50,045.83 ASI after gaining 156.03 basis points, having closed Thursday with 49,889.8 ASI.

Investors exchanged 240.02 million shares, worth N2.67 billion, in 3,435 deals on Friday.

However, during the previous session, they traded 229.12 million shares in 3,575 deals, worth N1.74 billion.

Top five gainers in  stock exchange

  • FCMB share appreciated by N0.29kobo to rise from N3.20kobo to N3.49kobo per.
  • Stanbic IBTC stock grew N2, up from N31 to N33 per share.
  • ETranzact ended trading with N2.65kobo from N2.50kobo per share, rising by N0.15kobo.
  • Transcorp gained 4.76 percent to end trading at N1.10kobo, having opened with N1.05.
  • NPF Microfinance stock was up by 4.52 percent, closing with N1.62kobo from N1.55kobo per share.

Top five losers

  • McNichols depreciated by -9.46 percent, dwindling from N0.74kobo to N0.67kobo per share.
  • RT Briscoe also fell by 8.57 percent to end trading at N0.32kobo, after opening with N0.35kobo per share.
  • Chams followed the same path, losing 7.14 percent after trading hours, to sell at N0.26kobo from N0.28kobo per share.
  • Honeywell Flour reported a decline of N0.12kobo from previous day’s share price of N2.65kobo to end trading at N2.53kobo per share.
  • UPDC share depreciated to N1.02 from N1.05, after losing 2.86 percent during trading hours.

  • Sterling Bank reported 93.72 million shares valued at N136.01 million were traded on its floor.
  • Fidelity Bank recorded 28.77 million shares valued at N97.09 million.
  • Fidson saw investors trade 13.84 million of its shares valued at N130.38 million
  • GTCO recorded 13.04 million shares exchanged on its floor, worth N258.51 million
  • Zenith Bank reported 12.39 million valued at N266.46 billion, exchanged investors hands
