During trading in the Nigerian stock market on Friday, shareholders of Thomas Wyatt, Guinness and other companies on the losers’ table lost over N102.65 billion.
The loss resulted in the market capitalisation of the Nigerian Exchange (NGX) declining to N156.44 trillion, below the N156.54 trillion recorded on Thursday.
It was also reflected in the all-share index (ASI), which depreciated by 159.97 basis points to 243,798.76 ASI, from 243,958.73 ASI.

- NIDF’s share price increased by N13.50 kobo, from N135 to N148.50 kobo per share.
- International Breweries’ share value grew by N1.20 kobo, from N12.10 kobo to N13.30 kobo per share.
- NEM Insurance share appreciated by N2.45 kobo, to end trading at N27.95 kobo, having opened with N25.50 kobo.
- Jaiz Bank’s share ended trading at N9.20 kobo per share, from N8.65 per share – indicating an increase of N0.55 kobo.
- UPDC’s share value was up by N0.25 kobo, after closing at N4.20 kobo, from N3.95 kobo per share.

- Thomas Wyatt share price depreciated by N0.27 kobo, dwindling from N2.70 kobo to N2.43 kobo per share.
- Guinness recorded a N36.50 kobo decline in its share price to end trading at N329, after opening with N365.50 kobo.
- Ikeja Hotel reported a N4.70 kobo decline in its share price to end trading at N42.50 kobo, after opening with N47.20 kobo per share.
- Zichis Agro lost N2.91 kobo in its share price, to sell at N26.37 kobo, down from N29.28 kobo per share.
- MCNichols reported a decline of N0.55 kobo, from the previous share price of N5.55 kobo, to end trading at N5 per share.

- Access Holdings reported that 40.17 million shares valued at N1 billion were traded on its floor.
- Sterling Financial Holdings Company recorded 30.24 million shares valued at N228.8 million.
- Fidelity Bank saw investors trade 26.27 million of its shares valued at N505.56 million.
- Zenith Bank recorded 22.30 million shares exchanged on its floor, worth N2.47 billion.
- First HoldCo reported that traders exchanged 18.98 million shares valued at N1.32 billion.
