The orphanage visit is a planned annual program of the ODTU Women Wing tagged ‘love feast’, usually in the month of October.

One of them, the Open Arms Of Mercy Orphanage Home, welcomed the association with love and respect. Both children and staff of the orphanages showed nothing but gratitude to the women for remembering them and coming to share their love with them.

Staff of the charity homes highlighted the ordeals of the orphans and the less privileged ones their and commended the women for their humane act.

The residents of these homes were excited about the women association’s gesture as the children wore smiling faces and danced with the women during the visit.

In an exclusive interview with Prime Business Africa, President of the ODTU women’s wing, Mrs Oge Nwani stated that the project will not end there as they have hopes and plans of making it a long term one.

“I encourage every other persons to show love to people and make visits to orphanage homes and the less privileged,” Mrs Nwani added.

The group had previously visited other orphanage homes and even members of the Ojoto community, who encountered one challenge or the other as a way of creating sincere fraternal bond.
