Former Nigerian President Olusegun Obasanjo on Friday travelled aboard an Air Peace Boeing 777-200ER flight from Lagos to London Gatwick Airport, in what observers described as another major endorsement of Nigeria’s leading indigenous airline, Prime Business Africa reports.
Obasanjo was received at the airline’s Premium Lounge at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport by the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Air Peace, Allen Onyema.

Speaking during the visit, Onyema described it as a privilege to host and fly the former Nigerian leader aboard the airline’s flagship international service to the United Kingdom.
He reaffirmed the carrier’s commitment to providing safe, reliable, and world-class air travel services while strengthening connectivity between Nigeria and international destinations.
The Air Peace chairman later accompanied Obasanjo to the aircraft ahead of the flight’s departure to London Gatwick.
The development comes amid the airline’s continued expansion of its international operations, with industry stakeholders viewing the former president’s patronage as a boost to confidence in the carrier’s long-haul services and Nigeria’s growing aviation sector.
