The Nigerian stock market recovered from the losses recorded in three consecutive days on Friday with a N3.16 trillion gain.
In a data released by the Nigerian Exchange (NGX), also known as the stock market, the gain lifted the market capitalisation of the bourse up from N153.85 trillion on Thursday to N157.02 trillion.

According to the data, the all-share index expanded from 239,734.61 ASI to 244,670.65 ASI.
Investors reduced their participation on the trading floor to 1.06 billion shares, which were traded at 69,996 deals, worth N55.03 billion, below the 1.83 billion shares exchanged the day before in 81,131 deals, valued at N72.16 billion.
Top Five Gainers
- Neimeth’s share price increased by N0.90 kobo, from N9 to N9.90 kobo per share.
- Cadbury’s share value grew by N6.60 kobo, from N66 to N72.60 kobo per share.
- LivingTrust’s share appreciated by N0.32 kobo, to end trading at N3.52 kobo, having opened with N3.20 kobo.
- Mecure’s share ended trading at N72.60 kobo per share, from N66 per share – indicating an increase of N6.60 kobo.
- Dangote Cement’s share value was up by N98.90 kobo, after closing at N1,088, from N989.10 kobo per share.
Top Five Losers
- UAC Nigeria share price depreciated by N19, dwindling from N190 to N171 per share.
- IMG recorded a N4.70 kobo decline in its share price to end trading at N42.30 kobo, after opening with N47 per share.
- Eterna recorded a N3.7 kobo decline in its share price to end trading at N33.55 kobo, after opening with N37.25 kobo per share.
- Learn Africa lost N0.90 kobo in its share price, to sell at N8.20 kobo, down from N9.10 kobo per share.
- Deap Capital reported a decline of N0.59 kobo from the previous share price of N6.09, to end trading at N5.50 kobo per share.

- VFD Group reported that 102.87 million shares valued at N1.07 billion were traded on its floor.
- FCMB recorded 99.42 million shares valued at N1.05 billion.
- UBA saw investors trade 94.52 million of its shares valued at N3.78 billion.
- Access Holdings recorded 85.40 million shares exchanged on its floor, worth N2.03 billion.
- Zenith Bank reported that traders exchanged 46.46 million shares valued at N5.78 billion.
