Nigerian Stock Market Cap Rises By N1.44trn As First HoldCo Records N324bn Trades

After trading on Wednesday, the stock market capitalisation grew to N81.58 trillion, from N80.14 trillion, as First HoldCo records N324.47 billion trades.

The market capitalisation increased by N1.44 trillion, while the all-share index (ASI) expanded by 4,520.28 basis points to 128,967.08 ASI, from 124,446.8 ASI.

The market capitalisation ended trading today at N78.72 trillion, while the all-share index (ASI) increased by 2,457.13 basis points from 121,989.67 ASI to 124,446.8 ASI.

Investors traded 11,67 billion shares, worth N363,41 billion, in 36,635 deals, exceeding the 1.28 million shares traded in 39,431 deals, valued at N32,20 billion, on Monday.

Top five gainers

  • NSLTECH share price increased by N0.11 kobo, to rise from N1.10 kobo to N1.21 kobo per share.
  • Omatek’s share value grew by N0.16 kobo, from N1.60 kobo to N1.76 kobo per share.
  • Eunisell ended trading at N14.85 kobo per share, from N13.50 kobo per share – indicating an increase of N1.35 kobo.
  • Nestle gained N150 to end trading at N1650, having opened with N1500.
  • Tripple Gee share value was up by N0.39 kobo, after closing at N4.32 kobo from N3.93 kobo per share.

Top five losers

  • FTN Cocoa’s share price depreciated by N0.78 kobo, dwindling from N7.80 kobo to N7.02 per share.
  • NPF Microfinance Bank recorded a N0.27 kobo decline in its share price to end trading at N2.43 kobo after opening with N2.70 kobo per share.
  • C&I Leasing lost N0.79 kobo in its share price after trading hours, to sell at N7.13 kobo from N7.92 kobo per share.
  • Champion Brews reported a decline of N1.36 kobo from the previous day’s share price of N13.65 kobo to end trading at N12.29 kobo per share.
  • McNichols recorded a N0.43 kobo decline in its share price to end trading at N3.89 kobo after opening with N4.32 kobo per share.

  • First HoldCo reported that 10.46 million shares valued at N324.47 billion were traded on its floor.
  • UBA recorded 157.54 million shares valued at N7.62 billion.
  • Access Holdings saw investors trade 124.64 million of its shares valued at N220.54 million.
  • UBA recorded 68.79 million shares exchanged on its floor, worth N3.26 billion.
  • Zenith Bank reported 66.28 million shares valued at N5.08 billion exchanged in investors’ hands.
