Nigerian Fans Poised To Unleash ‘Vawulence’ On Italian Journalist For Osimhen Tirade

September 28, 2023

Angry Nigerian fans of Super Eagles striker, Victor Osimhen, are unanimous in their resolve to give Italian journalist, Marika Fruscio a pound of her own flesh after she went on a tirade aimed at the Napoli striker.

Osimhen, who was top scorer in the Serie A last season in the club’s title-winning campaign with 26 league goals was ‘mocked’ by the TikTok handle of the club with a derogatory video after he missed a penalty in the goalless draw against Bologna.

The club’s head coach Rudi Garcia had insisted on his press conference that the video was not posted to spite the Nigeria international and journalist, Fruscio, has fired a Salvo which the ‘pro-Osimhen group’ do not find funny.

Fruscio had said the following on her Instagram page: “You are a champion but it takes humility. What’s the use of deleting the photos of the team that worshiped and supported you?

“Even legal action for a sarcastic video? An intelligent man would have laughed at it. BE THE PROFESSIONAL. HEAD DOWN AND Work.

“It’s our fault anyway that we make these players almost gods… JUST THE SHIRT, JUST THE SHIRT.”

However, rather than Fruscio’s post sounding convincing and sweet to the ears, the experienced lady journalist has practically ‘bought’ the trouble of Nigerian football faithful.

Taking to their Facebook handles, these are some of the selected posts from Nigerians on the heated subject.

“We are coming for you too once we are done with the mumu (foolish) club”

Another user added: “Now, let the fi*ght begin on Instagram… We will go serve her vawulence!!!

A third user commented “Osimhen should leave Napoli in due time. Who even knew Napoli before 🤔😏”

Osimhen’s situation could spark a rush of interests from big European clubs on his services in the January transfer window with reports linking him again to Saudi Arabian clubs, as well as Real Madrid, Arsenal and Chelsea.

Osimhen turned down a chance to move to the Gulf when he reportedly rejected a weekly wage of close to £1m from Al Hilal FC.

The Super Eagles star has a year left to run on his contract.
