The Nigerian Exchange (NGX) said the stock market recovered on Tuesday after the bourse’s capitalisation increased to N147.21 trillion.
NGX said the stock market capitalisation surged by N675.61 billion from N164.54 trillion recorded on Monday, after the all-share index (ASI) expanded by 1,052.86 basis points.
The ASI expanded from 228,366.32 index reported the previous day to 229,419.18 ASI.

Top Five Gainers
- CMFC’s share price increased by N0.38 kobo, from N3.80 kobo to N4.18 kobo per share.
- Prestige’s share value grew by N0.14 kobo, from N1.40 kobo to N1.54 kobo per share.
- Airtel Africa’s share appreciated by N435.80 kobo, to end trading at N4,794.60 kobo, having opened with N4,358.80kobo.
- Cutix’s share ended trading at N2.94 kobo per share, from N2.68 kobo per share – indicating an increase of N0.26 kobo.
- Regal Insurance’s share value was up by 9.09 percent, after closing at N0.77 kobo, from N0.84 kobo per share.

- FGSUK2032S7’s share price depreciated by N81.29 kobo, dwindling from N195.19 kobo to N113.90 kobo per share.
- Custodian recorded a N7.30 kobo decline in its share price to end trading at N65.85 kobo, after opening with N73.15 kobo.
- RT Briscoe recorded a N1.10 kobo decline in its share price to end trading at N9.95 kobo, after opening with N11.05 per share.
- PZ Cussons lost N9.45 kobo in its share price, to sell at N85.50 kobo, down from N94.95 kobo per share.
- UPDC reported a decline of N0.35 kobo, from the previous share price of N3.55 kobo, to end trading at N3.20 kobo per share.

- Linakge Assurance reported that 95.97 million shares valued at N155.10 million were traded on its floor.
- FCMB recorded 93.78 million shares valued at N955.99 million.
- Japaul Gold saw investors trade 81.79 million of its shares valued at N228.77 million.
- Morison recorded 79.16 million shares exchanged on its floor, worth N791.68 million.
- Neimeth reported that traders exchanged 71.55 million shares valued at N552.08 million.
