Multiverse Lead Gainers’ List, Beta Glass Top Losers, As Stock Market Crashes

Following about five hours of trading, the stock market dipped by -0.13 percent, knocking the market capitalisation down to N26.76 trillion on Monday. 

It was dragged down by the All-Share Index, which closed at 49,625.71, after shedding 69.41 basis points from the 49,695.12 ASI it ended Friday’s trading with. 

On the trading floor, over 86.59 million shares exchanged investors’ hands in 3,377 deals worth N1.17 billion.

Top five gainers

  • Multiverse share appreciated by N0.22kobo to rise from N02.36kobo to N2.58kobo per.
  • FTN Cocoa stock grew N0.02, up from N0.3kobo to N0.32kobo per share.
  • Chams ended trading with N0.33kobo from N0.31kobo per share, rising by N0.02.
  • Academy gained N0.1kobo to end trading at N2.20kobo, having opened with N2.1kobo.
  • Regal Insurance stock was up by N0.01, closing with N0.25kobo from N0.24kobo per share.

Top five losers 

  • Beta Glass depreciated by N5.1kobo, dwindling from N51.2kobo to N46.10kobo per share.
  • NEM also fell by N0.45kobo to end trading at N5.20kobo, after opening with N5.65kobo per share.
  • Japaul Gold followed the same path, losing N0.02 after trading hours, to sell at N0.27kobo from N0.29kobo per share.
  • Fidelity Bank reported a decline of N0.24kobo from previous day’s share price of N3.65kobo to end trading at N3.41kobo per share.
  • FCMB share depreciated to N3.3kobo from N3.5kobokobo, after losing N0.2kobo during trading hours.

  • GTCO reported 19.47 million shares valued at N385.58 million were traded on its floor.
  • Sterling Bank recorded 6.21 million shares valued at N9.35 million.
  • Zenith Bank saw investors trade 5.91 million of its shares valued at N118.67 million.
  • Fidelity Bank recorded 5.82 million shares exchanged on its floor, worth N20.02 million.
  • Chams reported 5.63 million shares valued at N1.86 million exchanged investors’ hands.
