New additions to the franchise include Nadia Buari and Sam Dede, who are featured in a luxurious wedding scene surrounded by guests.

Although details on the plot, the rest of the cast, and the release date are scarce, the new movie is expected to continue the original storyline that started with Merry Men: The Real Yoruba Demons in 2018, and Merry Men 2: Another Mission in 2019.

The first movie was set in Abuja and followed the lives of four wealthy men known as the Merry Men, who seduced powerful women, got contracts from the political elite, stole from the rich, gave to the poor, and had affairs with the hottest women in town.

Merry Men: The Real Yoruba Demons grossed ₦235,628,358 at the box office and is one of the highest grossing Nollywood movies of all time.

The second instalment of the franchise sees the Merry Men pitted against a gang of not so fear-inspiring bike-riding, tank top and leather jacket-wearing assassins, who must help an indicted government official escape justice in exchange for their kidnapped loved ones.

Merry Men 2: Another Mission grossed ₦36.89 million in its opening weekend (December 20-22, 2019) and went on to earn a total of ₦234,505,169.

Given AY’s impressive track record as the King of the Box Office, Merry Men 3 is expected to make a killing in cinemas. The franchise has become a fan-favorite due to its blend of comedy and action, and fans are eagerly anticipating the release of the latest installment.

As fans await more news on the upcoming Merry Men 3, the excitement continues to build. It remains to be seen what the future holds for the Merry Men franchise, but fans can rest assured that AY will deliver another blockbuster hit.
