In a message shared via her official Twitter handle, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, the Director-General of the World Trade Organization (WTO), extends warm wishes to all on the occasion of International Women’s Day and Women’s History Month.

Celebrating the remarkable achievements of women worldwide, Iweala emphasizes the significance of listening to and learning from female leaders.

At the WTO, the day was marked by insightful discussions led by prominent female figures within the organization. Ambassador Almolokomme of Botswana, Ambassador Maria Pagan of the USA, WTO Deputy Director-General Angela Ellard, and WTO Deputy Director-General Jonah Hill were among the distinguished speakers who shared their invaluable experiences on leadership and serving as role models.

The event also saw the participation of inspiring individuals such as Samah Al-Rawahi, a Young Professional at the WTO, who skillfully moderated the panel discussion.
