Diddy Makes Excuse For Assaulting Ex-Girlfriend

Disgraced American rapper and music executive Sean Combs, known as Diddy, has issued a public apology after video footage showing him assaulting his former signee and ex-girlfriend, Cassie, in 2016.

Prime Business Africa reported that the footage, obtained by CNN, shows Diddy repeatedly kicking and throwing objects at Cassie in a Los Angeles hotel hallway. In response, Diddy released a video message on his official Instagram page on Sunday, acknowledging his misconduct.

“My behaviour on that video is inexcusable,” Diddy stated. “I take full responsibility for my actions in that video. I’m so sorry.”

Despite the public outcry, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office has announced it will not prosecute Diddy for the assault, citing the incident’s age as being beyond the statute of limitations for prosecuting such a crime.
