On Tuesday, July 8, trading closed with the market capitalisation rising by N226.24 billion to N76.75 trillion, from N76.53 trillion reported on Monday, July 7.

Also, the all-share index (ASI) increased from 121,295.33 ASI to 121,653.93 ASI, representing an expansion of 358.6 basis points.

Over 1 billion shares were exchanged in 24,770 deals, valued at N19.48 billion on Tuesday, exceeding the 824.10 million shares traded in 24,042 deals, worth N14.43 billion on Monday..

Top five gainers

  • Omatek’s share price increased by N0.10 kobo, to rise from N1 to N1.10 kobo per share.
  • Champion Brew’s share value grew by N1.36 kobo, from N13.60 kobo to N14.96 kobo per share.
  • NGX Group ended trading at N56.10 kobo per share, from N51 per share – indicating an increase of N5.10 kobo.
  • C&I Leasing gained N0.60 kobo to end trading at N6.60 kobo, having opened with N6.
  • Neimeth’s share value was up by N0.86 kobo, after closing at N9.50 kobo from N8.64 kobo per share.

  • Deap Capital’s share price depreciated by N0.13 kobo, dwindling from N1.30 kobo to N1.17 kobo per share.
