Chelsea defeated Wolverhampton Wanderers 3-0 at the Stamford Bridge on Saturday evening with goals from Kai Havertz, Christian Pulisic and Armando Broja.

The win sent Chelsea fourth in the Premier League table as the Blues cruised past managerless Wolves.

Mason Mount teed up Havertz with a pinpoint cross and squared a glorious pass to Pulisic before Albania striker Broja netted his maiden Blues goal to floor the struggling visitors.

Boyhood Chelsea fan Broja netted the third goal in the 89th minute to put the game beyond the Wolves side.

Chelsea handed senior debut to Anglo-Nigerian Carney Chukwuemeka in the 86th minute following his £20m move from Aston Villa in the summer.

At the Etihad Stadium, Erling Haaland scored again as Manchester City piled on the pressure on high flying Arsenal with a 4-0 thrashing of Southampton.

Haaland claimed his 20th goal in just 13 City appearances in all competitions as the champions moved top of the Premier League with a routine victory on Saturday.

Joao Cancelo, Phil Foden and Riyad Mahrez had already scored by the time the Norwegian, who had earlier hit the woodwork and spurned a handful of other chances, finally found the net in the second half.

The win put the seal on another somewhat easy game and took City’s goal tally from the three games they have played in the past week to 15.

Quickfire goals from Philip Billing and Ryan Christie rendered Patson Daka’s early strike meaningless in a 2-1 win at the Vitality Stadium for Bournemouth.

Tottenham Hotspur and Brighton Hoves and Albion’s game was still ongoing at the time of this report.

Arsenal will return to the summit of the Premier League table if they defeat Liverpool at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday evening.

Manager Mikel Arteta will have an almost fully fit squad for the match while Jurgen Klop will hoping that his side that have failed to impress so far this season rise up to the occasion.
