Easter: Tinubu Expresses Optimism That Nigeria’ll Overcome Its Challenges

Nigeria’s President, Bola Tinubu has expressed optimism that Nigeria will overcome its economic and security challenges just as Christians celebrate the victory of life over death, exemplified by the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

The president spoke on Friday while wishing Christians a happy Easter celebration.

In a statement signed by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale, Tinubu expressed gratitude to Nigerians for their efforts during the last 10 months of his presidency,and reaffirmed his commitment to leading the country toward “recovery and sustainable growth.”

The statement is titled, ‘At Easter, President Tinubu celebrates with Christians; calls for unity and compassion.’

According to Ngelale, Tinubu described the Easter season as “a significant moment and a glorious celebration of the triumph of life over death.”

“The President warmly greets Christians in Nigeria and around the world on this occasion, emphasising love, sacrifice, and compassion as the patent themes of this solemn season,” Ngelale stated.

He added that leaders should take a strong lesson from Jesus Christ’s sacrifice for humanity.

The president therefore pleaded with Nigerians to give into to kindness and empathy and to persevere in building a successful, unified country.

“Tinubu strongly commends Nigerians for the sacrifices they have made in the past few months for the nation to be steered to the path of recovery and sustainable growth,” said Ngelale.

He gave the citizens hope that the patience seeds they had sown were starting to grow and would soon produce a bountiful harvest of excellent fruits.

“The President wishes Nigerians, Happy Easter,” Ngelale stated.
