‘All’s Fair in Love’ Makes N7.6 Million On Valentine’s Day

On Valentine’s Day, Nigerian cinema-goers showed their love for the latest Nollywood film, “All’s Fair in Love,” by spending a remarkable N7.6 million on movie tickets.

The movie centres around the intertwined relationships of two Nigerian business partners and friends, portrayed by Deyemi Okanlawon and Timini Egbuson, who find themselves entangled in a romantic rivalry over the same woman, played by Buhle Samuels.

With a stellar ensemble cast including Ireti Doyle, Juliet Ibrahim, Adedimeji Lateef, and others, the film promises an engaging narrative that captures the complexities of love and friendship.

This early success for “All’s Fair in Love” marks a promising trajectory for the Nollywood industry, following closely on the heels of the recent blockbuster “A Tribe Called Judah,” which grossed an impressive N1 billion within just two months of its release in 2024.

The tweet also highlights the robust performances of other December 2023 hits, with “A Tribe Called Judah” nearing N1.4 billion, “Aquaman 2” approaching N530 million, “Malaika” reaching N300 million, and “Ada Omo Daddy” nearing N220 million.

These numbers underscore both the audience’s enthusiasm for compelling storytelling and the industry’s capacity to deliver narratives that resonate with diverse viewers.
