Zion Uzoh, a niece of US-based Nigerian serial tech inventor, Cyprian Emeka Uzoh, has won the “Miss Sweetheart of Arkansas” 2025 award.

Zion emerged the overall best in the pageantry competition that held on Sunday, 2nd March 2025 at the Arkansas Hall in Arkadelphia, Arkansas, United States of America.

A video shared with Prime Business Africa showed moments Zion was announced the overall winner in the competition.

The Miss Arkansas Sweetheart 2025 pageantry award is another feat added to the scrolls of lifetime achievements recorded by the Uzoh’s family.

In a chat with Prime Business Africa, Zion expressed her delight in winning the pageantry competition, adding that it means so much to her life’s journey.

“It truly means so much to have my journey and this special opportunity highlighted, and I appreciate,” Zion stated.

The Miss Sweetheart of Arkansas Scholarship Organisation is a pageant anchored by the Miss Arkansas Organisation which is under the Miss America Organisation.

Zion’s father, Dr Christian Ndubuisi Uzoh, was a medical expert, who studied Medicine at the University of Nigeria Nsukka and later had his fellowship in Nephrology at Baylor Medical School in Waco, Texas, United States.

Also speaking to Prime Business Africa, Zion’s uncle, Mr Cyprian Emeka Uzoh, said Zion’s father unfortunately died on 24 October 2001 when the wife,  Mrs. Edith Okadigbo-Uzoh, was four months pregnant.

Zion was born five months after her father’s death.

“Zion was born many months later after the death of her father. Zion was raised by her mother Mrs. Edith Okadigbo-Uzoh,” the tech inventor said in a message to Prime Business Africa.

Mr Uzoh, an Engineer, who hails from Ojoto in Idemili South Local Government Area of Anambra, has more than 350 patents to his credit as gazetted in the US’ records of “Prolific Inventors” between 1978 and 2021.

His patents include developing microprocessors and memory chips in dancing robots.  He contributed to the development of the Copper Interconnect used by the microprocessors and the memory chips of the dancing robot.

One of the tech genius’ daughters, Nneka, got married to a US-based Ugandan Apple app inventor, Dr Jeofery Kibuule, in July 2021.
