On the trading floor, traders exchanged 923,86 million shares in 25,680 deals, valued at N11 billion on Friday, compared to the 933.40 million shares traded in 24,207 deals, worth N29.30 billion, on Thursday.

Top five gainers

  • Champion Brew’s share price increased by N1.20 kobo, to rise from N12 to N13.20 kobo per share.
  • John Holt’s share value grew by N0.70 kobo, from N7 to N7.70 kobo per share.
  • Redstar Express ended trading at N8.37 kobo per share, from N7.61 kobo per share – indicating an increase of N0.76 kobo.
  • Academy gained N0.56 kobo to end trading at N6.17 kobo, having opened with N5.61 kobo.
  • UPDC’s share value was up by N0.43 kobo, after closing at N4.74 kobo from N4.31 kobo per share.

Top five losers

  • Ellah Lakes’ share price depreciated by N0.90 kobo, dwindling from N9 to N8.10 kobo per share.
  • PZ Cussons recorded a N3.60 kobo decline in its share price to end trading at N32.40 kobo after opening with N36 per share.
  • Japaul Gold lost N0.29 kobo in its share price after trading hours, to sell at N2.70 kobo from N2.99 kobo per share.
  • Royal Exchange reported a decline of N0.13 kobo from the previous day’s share price of N1.37 kobo to end trading at N1.24 kobo per share.
  • McNichols recorded a N0.27 kobo decline in its share price to end trading at N2.78 kobo after opening with N3.05 per share.
