Bootcamp For African Women Entrepreneurs

Gender, Women and Civil Society Department of the African Development Bank, in partnership with the Japan Policy and Human Resources Development Grant, will launch a bootcamp for African women entrepreneurs today, March 8 2024, being the International Women’s Day, to enhance their business management skills.

The training is designed to empower women in line with the theme of this year’s International Women’s Day celebration (‘Invest in Women: Accelerate Progress’) to effectively manage their businesses, increase profits, and explore new partnership opportunities through networking. This bootcamp is also open to investors, civil society organizations, and development partners.

The session will feature past beneficiaries sharing their experiences and the benefits derived from the program.

The event agenda includes:

  • Introduction to the 50 Million African Women Speak Platform and its resources for African women entrepreneurs
  • Presentation of the course curriculum consisting of six modules for participants, along with details of the coaching and mentoring program
  • Inspiring stories from former training beneficiaries.
  • A Q&A session for participants to learn more about the program’s content.

The 50 million African Women Speak Platform is a social media site accessible at www.womenconnect.org and as a mobile application (50 MAWSP). The platform offers more than 3000 resources for African women entrepreneurs, including business knowledge, legal advice, funding opportunities, and networking spaces.
