The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Angola to Nigeria, José Bamóquina Zau, on Monday visited Terra Industries’ Abuja headquarters to explore possible collaboration on indigenous defence technology and security systems, Prime Business Africa reports.
The visit took place at the company’s Pax-1 facility along the Abuja-Kaduna corridor and also featured Angola’s Defence Attaché, Colonel Venutura Miguel, alongside other senior embassy officials, according to a statement released by the company.
Terra Industries said discussions during the visit focused on how locally developed defence technologies could support Angola’s “long-term security sovereignty” amid growing security and infrastructure protection concerns across Africa.

The company says its technologies currently protect about $11 billion worth of infrastructure assets across the continent.
Its Pax-1 Abuja facility serves as the flagship production and engineering hub within the company’s expanding “Pax Factories” network. The facility manufactures systems including the Archer VTOL surveillance drone, Iroko UAV tactical drone, Duma unmanned ground vehicle and Kallon AI-powered sentry towers, all integrated through the company’s ArtemisOS platform.
The ambassador’s visit comes as Terra Industries intensifies engagement with African governments and military institutions. In recent months, the company hosted senior officers from the Army War College Nigeria for live demonstrations of its defence systems and also signed a strategic agreement with the Defence Industries Corporation of Nigeria to boost domestic defence manufacturing.

The company recently announced plans to establish a second major production facility, Pax-2, in Accra, Ghana. Terra Industries said the 34,000-square-foot facility is expected to become Africa’s largest drone factory with annual production capacity projected at 50,000 units by 2028.
The expansion follows a reported $34 million funding raise aimed at scaling manufacturing operations, increasing deployment capacity and expanding engineering teams across Africa and allied markets.
