Air Peace Expands African Network with New Flights to Douala, Libreville, Bamako, Conakry

June 17, 2026

Air Peace has announced the launch of new scheduled flight services from Lagos to Douala in Cameroon, Libreville in Gabon, Bamako in Mali and Conakry in Guinea, in a move expected to boost regional connectivity, trade and travel across West and Central Africa, Prime Business Africa reports.

The new routes, scheduled to commence on August 1, 2026, mark a significant expansion of the airline’s African network and reinforce Lagos’ growing role as a regional aviation hub linking major commercial centres across the continent.

Under the new schedule, Air Peace will operate flights on the Lagos-Douala-Libreville-Douala-Lagos route every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday. Services from Lagos to Douala will depart at 8:00 a.m. and arrive at 9:30 a.m., while onward flights to Libreville will leave Douala at 10:10 a.m. and arrive at 11:30 a.m. Return services from Libreville will depart at 12:10 p.m. before continuing to Lagos.

The airline will also operate the Lagos-Bamako-Conakry-Bamako-Lagos route on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Flights from Lagos to Bamako will depart at 7:00 a.m., with onward connections to Conakry before returning to Lagos through Bamako.

The expansion comes at a time when African governments and businesses are seeking stronger intra-African connectivity to support trade, investment and economic integration under the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA). Industry stakeholders have long identified limited direct air links between African cities as a major obstacle to commerce and regional mobility.

By adding the four destinations to its network, Air Peace is positioning itself to capture growing demand for business and leisure travel while providing passengers with more direct travel options across the region. The new services are also expected to reduce travel time for passengers who previously relied on multiple connections through non-African hubs to reach some destinations within the continent.

Air Peace said travellers from Douala, Libreville, Bamako and Conakry will have seamless access through Lagos to several Nigerian cities, including Abuja, Port Harcourt, Benin, Enugu, Owerri, Kano, Asaba, Gombe, Ibadan, Yola and Maiduguri.

The airline added that passengers will also be able to connect easily to its expanding international network, including services to London Gatwick in the United Kingdom and Caribbean destinations such as Antigua and Barbados, creating additional opportunities for business travel, tourism, education and family visits.

Commenting on the development, Air Peace management said the new routes reflect the carrier’s commitment to deepening air connectivity across the continent through safe, reliable and affordable transportation services.

“The launch of these new regional services underscores our commitment to connecting Africa through safe, reliable and affordable air transportation. By expanding our footprint across West and Central Africa, we are not only providing more travel options for our customers but also facilitating commerce, tourism, investment and regional integration,” the airline said.

According to the carrier, the expansion aligns with broader continental initiatives, including the AfCFTA and the Single African Air Transport Market (SAATM), both of which seek to remove barriers to movement and strengthen economic cooperation among African countries.

Bookings for the new services have opened through the airline’s website, mobile application, contact centre and accredited travel agencies.

The latest expansion further underscores Air Peace’s ambition to establish Lagos as a key gateway between West and Central Africa and the wider world, while supporting Nigeria’s aspirations to become a leading aviation and commercial hub on the continent.
